New Quay is on the West coast of Wales
about half way between Aberystwyth to the north and Cardigan to the south.
There are two roads leading to New Quay from the A487 - the main coast road.
From the south turn on to the A486 at Synod Inn - the Synod Inn Pub is on the
corner.
Coming from the north (Aberystwyth), turn
on to the B 4342 at Llanarth - there is a bright yellow pub, the Llanina Arms Hotel
on the corner.
From Llanarth the A487 takes you seven miles north to the
pretty Georgian town of Aberaeron. From the lay-by at the top of the hill
before approaching Aberaeron you can see all the way to the Lleyn peninsula
in North Wales on a clear day. The mountains of Cader Idris and Snowdon are
the highest points visible. There are also excellent views from the A487
between Aberarth and Llanon where Red Kites may often be seen soaring above
the sea cliffs.
