Dolau Cottage is tucked away in the
valley of the little river Gido, at Gilfachreda just a few minutes
drive (2.2 miles) from the seafront at New Quay. From the cottage, there are walks into the
valley and through the woods behind the cottage or along the pretty
lane in front of the cottage. With a hill slope on one side covered
with ferns and wild flowers, and with the river and meadows on the
other, this lane is the perfect place for a gentle evening stroll -
or to walk your dog if you bring one.

Accommodation: There are two double
bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed with ensuite WC and
hand basin with a private shower room located downstairs. The
other has windows on two sides where you can hear birdsong and
the sound of the river on a still summer evening. This has an
ensuite bathroom with electric shower over the bath. Both bedrooms
have their own tea and coffee making facilities. There is a lovely
breakfast room for the guests where various types of breakfast are
available. There is a parking area in front of the house and free wi-fi internet access.

Outside: There is a pretty garden area with furniture.

Location: Gilfachreda is on the B4342 between New Quay and
Llanarth.
From the north: Come down the A487 to Llanarth, turn right
onto the B4342 towards New Quay. Follow this road 1¼
miles and then turn sharp left where you see the Dolau Cottage sign
on the corner. Follow the lane until you see Dolau Cottage on the
left. Your parking area is on the right.
From the South: Come up the A487 to
Llanarth and turn left onto the B4342 by the bright yellow 'Llanina
Arms' Pub and Restaurant. Follow this road 1¼
miles and then turn sharp left where you see the Dolau Cottage sign
on the corner. Follow the lane until you see Dolau Cottage on the
left. Your parking area is on the right.
