| The
New Quay Country Market at the Memorial Hall
The
New Quay and District Country Market celebrated twenty five years
trading this year. It is part of the Country Markets Ltd organisation
which has it roots going back to 1919 when the Agricultural
Organisation Society (now DEFRA) sponsored the setting up of
co-operative markets to sell surplus produce. It is a co-operative
organisation enabling local home producers to sell items directly to
the public.
