The New Quay Country Market at the Memorial Hall

The New Quay and District Country Market celebrated twenty five years trading last year. It is part of the Country Markets Ltd organisation which has it roots going back to 1919 when the Agricultural Organisation Society (now DEFRA) sponsored the setting up of co-operative markets to sell surplus produce. It is a co-operative organisation enabling local home producers to sell items directly to the public.

All goods sold at the market are made or grown at home by the market producers, in accordance with strict quality and safety standards laid down by the Country Markets Society. All cooks have a current Food Hygiene Certificate.

Products available include: Home baked cakes and savouries, Home made preserves and chutneys, Home grown seasonal vegetables, fruit and flowers, free range eggs, home grown flowers and vegetables, cut flowers,  plants, Hand made greeting cards, local history books, cushions, bunting and a wide range of hand crafted items.

The market is open from 10:30a.m. 12:00 every Friday (Closed during January)
