Brynheulog is a comfortable home recently refurbished to a high standard maintaining all the original features. We are located in Caerwedros in Ceredigion, West Wales, close to Cardigan Bay and New Quay. Brynheulog is open all year and offers king-size ensuite bedrooms.

Brynheulog offers king-size bedrooms with ensuite shower, toilet and basin. It has a lounge area with wide-screen TV and DVD and a good selection of films to use. The bedrooms can also be used as family rooms with an added guest bed. Rooms are fully equipped with tea and coffee making facility, hairdryer, shaver point, soft white dressing gowns and complimentary shower toiletries. Our guests will also have the use of the conservatory, which overlooks the front garden.

Breakfast will be served in the dining room where you can enjoy a full welsh breakfast.

Local Area - Caerwedros is just 1.5 miles from Cwmtydu where, in early Autumn, you may see seals and pups who use the beach as a nursery. Cwmtydu is about 30 minute walk from Brynheulog. You’ll find parking and a small cafe (open during summer months) on the beach front.

Cwmtydu is a small coastal inlet where the river gently runs into the sea where, in the summer, children play safely.
Fishing for sea bass from the rocks is a popular pastime, and for the more energetic there is a coastal walk from Cwmtydu to New Quay.

Caerwedros is a small historic village in the southern Ceredigion, West Wales. The site of Caerwedros Castle is a mound on the west side of the village which skirts the boundary of Brynheulog.

Aberaeron is a short journey of about 6 miles from Brynheulog. It is a small coastal harbour town which was built in 1805 by the Rev Alban Thomas Jones. It is built on the estuary of the river Aeron. Aberaeron is an extremely pretty town with all the houses painted different colours. The houses that surround the pretty harbour are of Regency style.

New Quay is a small coastal town of narrow streets. It has an ample supply of public houses and smart restaurants some of which overlook the sheltered harbour and safe beaches. During summer months it becomes a bustling resort where sailing, fishing and watersports are among many attractions. The wildlife around the Cardigan coast is amazing with dolphins and seals which can be watched from the harbour.
New Quay is famous for the writer Dylan Thomas, where in 2007 the film ‘The Edge of Love’ was made about the period he lived in New Quay.
